However, for safety reasons, it is recommended that you get a self hosted blog, meaning you will have to purchase a domain and hosting for your blog. This will cost an average 20 dollars for the cheapest services but you own the blog and therefore, you are free to do anything to your blog, unlike free blogs.

If you have a writing business, a blog will serves as your portfolio. Whenever your clients are requesting for samples, direct them to your blog and they will be able to evaluate the quality of your services. A blog is really important. Let us look at blog as a business card. You give out business cards whenever you meet new people. This time around, you give out your blog URL for networking.
